The KPT operating range is 6 to 20 psi at the nozzle, or 0.41 to 1.38 bar. Within that range, deflector selection and nozzle size still matter for final performance. The KPT family is designed to work across a nozzle range from 10 to 52/128 inch. That broad range helps avoid mixing multiple sprinkler types on one machine. Keeping one sprinkler family across the system supports more consistent application behavior. Final selection should still follow the machine chart and field requirement.

Standard trajectory fits most applications and gives the widest spacing. Low trajectory is commonly chosen where wind is a bigger factor or where more clearance is needed without water interfering with the structure. Ultra-low trajectory is suited for harder conditions such as high wind, high heat, and low flow where getting water down to the soil is critical. The best choice depends on crop, machine height, spacing, and climate.

The Komet Rapid Fit Nozzle System allows fast nozzle installation and removal. If a nozzle needs cleaning or replacement, the sprinkler does not need to be removed from the drop assembly. That makes routine service simpler in the field. It also helps when different flow requirements apply during the season.

Maximum spacing depends on the deflector type: up to 20 ft for standard trajectory, 18 ft for low trajectory, and 15 ft for ultra-low trajectory. For optimal performance on drops, Komet recommends using maximum spacing only up to the second span. When spacing exceeds 10 ft, keep the sprinkler out of the crop canopy. Ground clearance should be at least 3 ft.
