As a Crop Development Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager USA and play a key role in bridging agronomy, product application, and commercial strategy. Your primary focus will be on potatoes and other key irrigated crops, working closely with growers, dealers, and key accounts across the U.S. You will help position our irrigation solutions by demonstrating their agronomic and economic value in real-world conditions — either from your home office or in boots in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop crop-specific irrigation strategies with a focus on potatoes and high-value crops
- Conduct field trials, demonstrations, and on-farm evaluations
- Collaborate with growers, dealers, and key accounts to optimize yield and water efficiency
- Translate agronomic insights into clear customer value propositions
- Support sales in technical discussions and key account development
- Identify market opportunities and monitor crop performance and competitors
- Report on field results, customer feedback, and market trends
Qualifications:
- Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Engineering, or related field
- 5–10 years of experience combining agronomy and customer-facing roles
- Strong knowledge of irrigated agriculture; potato experience is a plus
- Ability to translate technical expertise into practical, customer-focused solutions
- Commercial mindset with experience supporting key accounts
- Self-driven, hands-on, and independent working style
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Fluent in English
